Grief First Aiders

Posted on 05 April 2022

We’ve introduced new Grief First Aiders as part of our widening support for Mental Health.

Loss, bereavement and grief is part of everyday life. Dealing with loss and talking about grief/bereavement is often extremely difficult to do.

Over the last 16 months we recognised that some of our people lost family members, friends, partners, even colleagues – much of which was unexpected and sudden.

Therefore we wanted to offer additional support by having a team of trained Grief First Aiders to be there for our colleagues who are having to navigate loss and may need someone to talk to in confidence. Everyone is different and each set of circumstances unique but no one has to go through alone.

A massive thank you to Alan Dovey and Paul Anthony at Working Minds for their fantastic training in support of this initiative.
