Correla are looking for a **Software Engineer FTC for 12 months** to work as part of the SaaS team.

 

Salary: circa £60,000 (advertised salary achievable for a candidate fulfilling all role criteria)

 

Job Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement software solutions using Python (Django) and React, ensuring reliability, scalability, and quality.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, while supporting peers through code reviews and adhering to engineering standards.
  • Contribute to building reliable and observable systems by integrating monitoring, logging, and self-healing capabilities into applications.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to align on goals and deliver features effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in codebases, processes, and tools, and take initiative to implement those changes.

About you

  • Proficiency in Python and Django, including experience with design and development of APIs in Django.
  • Experience with React, including building dynamic UIs and basic state management.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, with good understanding of query optimization and schema design.
  • Some exposure to NoSQL databases is a bonus.
  • Ability to analyse issues, identify root causes, and contribute to effective solutions within the team
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork, contributing effectively to a distributed environment
  • Basic experience with AWS or another cloud platform, with familiarity in using core services like SNS/SQS and S3.
